Proforma Resources was established in Vallejo, California in 1998 by Myra Lord and Janet Ancheta, a dynamic mother-daughter duo. Starting a promotional company together was an easy decision for them. Myra had experience in the graphics world, while Janet had just graduated from the University of Oregon. Janet's undergraduate life continuously put her in the right place at the right time to gain ample knowledge in the promotional world. In the beginning, while growing their business together, Janet had one foot in the company and one foot elsewhere, working on her master’s degree, teaching middle school English, and gaining valuable experience in the corporate advertising world.
Myra had both feet in, and loved the business from day one. Many of Proforma’s first clients are still loyal customers today, over 25 years later. We've proudly been a part of our clients’ professional and personal lives for over two decades. We have been fortunate to get to celebrate client retirements, and be introduced to new contacts filling those positions, offering opportunities to build great new relationships.
Myra decided to take a backseat in 2009 to travel more and live a semi-retired life. This was perfect timing for Janet, as she happily made Proforma her main focus. She is passionate about growing her business and her client relationships. Today, Myra lives a full retired life, traveling, spending time with friends, family, and most importantly her grandkids. Janet loves working with fun and interesting people, traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband and their awesome Pomsky McCoy.
But Janet doesn't do this on her own. Everyone has their roles on the team they’ve built, making Proforma function like a well-oiled machine.
Angie brings with her a BA in Mass Communications, an MBA, and 25+ years of experience in marketing, client relations, entrepreneurship, and small business management. She’s a lightning fast responder, multitasker, and is here to help find solutions to client needs, answer questions, and ensure every project goes smoothly from start to finish. Outside of work, Angie and her husband have two daughters in college out of state and are working on perfecting the art of empty-nesting. Angie loves great humor, traveling with her family, sports (especially fantasy football!), reading a good psychological thriller, and snuggling with her 12 lb, 4-legged bodyguard Freddie.
Krystin is multitalented, bringing with her associate degrees in natural science, mathematics, nursing, and psychology, with plans to conquer her business degree next. Her job experience includes billing, customer service and shipping but working with the Proforma team is what she enjoys most professionally. Krystin is detail-oriented, organized, possesses great communication and computer skills and is willing to hop in and help tackle anything going on at the office when she arrives each day. Personally, she enjoys camping, hiking, traveling, reading, anything outdoors, and her beloved 100 pound lap-dog who gets all of her attention outside of work. She especially loves helping others, both inside and outside of Proforma.
Pam has a long term background in accounting and office management. She worked for a large grocery chain in accounting management for 15 years. When that company sold out, she went into a partnership with other associates owning three grocery stores while overseeing accounting and HR. Back then, she got her promotional swag and work shirts from none other than…. Mrya (who is her childhood best friend). Pam feels like she’s come full circle now working for Janet and Proforma. After selling her stock in the grocery business, she continued working at a law firm for 13 years. She is now technically retired but busy with her grandsons and with her 55+ community serving on the resident’s board. She also enjoys playing pickleball, line dancing and bunco. Overseeing Proforma’s accounts payable department part time allows her to continue to use skills acquired throughout her career while maintaining a positive purpose in life, and in our office community.
Combining her boundless energy, and degrees in business and fashion design, Diana “Marie Claire,” brings years of experience working in the fashion industry from manufacturing, line and product development, merchandising, fashion shoots, and design for children’s and women’s wear for Bay Area apparel companies. Diana has a passion for details, organization, and problem solving, and is enthusiastic to continue learning new things. She’s a team player at the office fulfilling and delivering orders and is a great addition to our Proforma family. Outside of work, taking care of family and beloved pets is her priority. Diana loves all things French, Paris, Victorian, vintage clothing, piano, antiques, quilting, costume making, and absolutely loves to sew!
